With flexible rear seats that can be configured in more than 30 different ways, the Tourneo Custom offers an unrivalled level of versatility. Seats can be folded down and rolled forward to create additional luggage space or removed altogether to make room for bulkier, heavier items. The vehicle’s cabin is remarkably spacious, with comfortable seats that make travelling a pleasure. Reclining seat backs, heated front seats, armrests and leather trim complement selected models. There are also ISOFIX mounting points for children’s seats too.
In-Built Technology
Ford is well known for its SYNC infotainment system which allows you to stay connected and have fun while on the road. Featuring Bluetooth, DAB audio, USB input and voice command technology you can sync up your mobile phone and enjoy a hands-free call with a client or a sing-a-long to all your favourite tunes while travelling with family. A sat nav system can be included too, making navigation a whole lot easier.
MHEV Vehicles have two sources of power that work together - a conventional engine and a battery driven electric motor. The electric motor does not power the car. It simply assists it.
Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV) have all the functionality of full Hybrid technology, with the added advantage that they can be charged from an external electricity supply. Plug-in Hybrids use two sources of power like a Hybrid, but with a larger high voltage battery, enabling you to drive longer distances on All-Electric power. The larger capacity of the battery makes them capable of zero-emissions while driving for ranges of up to 30 miles (50 kilometres), with the ability to switch to Hybrid mode to conserve battery life and to petrol or diesel-only for longer journeys.
The Tourneo Custom is designed to keep you as safe as possible, and that’s reflected in its maximum 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP. Two of its innovative technologies, Lane Keeping Alert and Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance, also received Euro NCAP Advanced rewards for technology.
The Tourneo Custom is available with an impressive list of smart, driver assist features including a Blind Spot Information System that sees the vehicles you might miss. Intelligent Speed Assist uses the Traffic Sign Recognition camera to first detect the current speed limit (when activated) which helps to keep you inside that limit.
Cross Traffic Alert warns you if it detects oncoming traffic when you’re reversing out of a space. Adaptive Cruise Control is designed to help you maintain a pre-set distance from the vehicle in front, automatically.
