Festival of Transport 2018

Market Drayton Festival of Transport is the brainchild of Nathan and Nicky Shore. They wanted to do something in memory of Nathans Dad, Wes. He had a love of vintage lorries and had attended many steam rallies with his own Foden lorry. Wes was looked after at Ward 23 of the Princess Royal and they wanted to give something back to the ward.

The show took place at The Greenlands Fields, Maer Lane and showcased all types of vehicles. From vintage classics to modern vehicles. It was a family day and not just a boy’s day out with Children's entertainment from an ice cream trike to Fair ground rides. There was also a raffle and auction, both supported by generous donations from many local businesses. W R Davies Toyota offered a prize every motor fan would have dream of, a weekend in a Toyota GT86.

Plus on display W R Davies Toyota took along the New Toyota AYGO, Toyota Yaris and Toyota C-HR to showcase the best new vehicles Toyota has to offer. With an array of new models being teased out this year due for arrival in 2019, we can't wait to bring the Toyota Supra back tot he event.

“Paul Harrison, Service Manager at W R Davies Toyota Shrewsbury said when this event came up we jumped at the chance of being involved, as an independent motor group W R Davies Shrewsbury feel it is important to be an active part of the local area. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.”

Our thanks & appreciation goes out again to all the hard work from the team getting the event ready.
