The Sakura Festival.

Proudly celebrating 50 years of Telford.

The Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival tool place in Telford Town Park on Saturday 21^st April, with over 1000 tickets sold. The festival formed one of several events in this year’s celebration of Telford’s 50^th anniversary.

The day was filled with glorious Japanese style events including Japanese street food, music from The Telford & District Light Operatic Players and the Japanese Garden Society exhibiting with the RSPB. The Maxwell Cherry Garden had wonderful illuminated water features with Japanese music and drumming from the Taiko West Drummers to set the scene.
