Refrigerated Conversions – At Work

Watch Chris Berridge, MD of Paneltex, as he talks to Ford about how they started, the technology behind their conversions and their close partnership with Ford.

Ford Refrigerated Transit Custom and Transit Vehicle Exterior

Paneltex is a leading UK manufacturer of refrigerated and specialised commercial vehicle bodies. They offer a vast range of multi-temperature, frozen and refrigerated van conversions for Transit, Transit Custom and Transit Connect. Or, as Chris Berridge says, "Everything from insulated car boots to a double-deck trailer that just scrapes under a motorway bridge."

Established in 1991, Paneltex started out developing innovative portable cold-store solutions to plug gaps in the cold chain. Since then, they've grown into leaders in the custom-building business, supplying refrigerated vehicles to household supermarket brands. Chris reveals the technology that goes into their refrigerated conversions and explains how they've responded to customer needs over the last year by doubling output.
