To qualify for the Motability Scheme, you must be in receipt of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance, the Enhanced Rate of Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement or the Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP). Applications must be recieved and accepted by Motability Operations Limited between 1st January and 31st March 2025.

Alternatively, if you do not ask for your New Vehicle Payment to go to the chosen dealership, Motability Operations Ltd send this to you in full within a few weeks of you getting your new vehicle. They will pay you by cheque, or by bank transfer if you've added your bank account details to your online Motability account. You’ll only get this payment once – not every time you get a new vehicle.
