Contact us before you speak to your insurance company.
If anyone is injured, dial 999 immediately. Ensure that everyone is safe, and if it is possible and safe to do so, switch your hazard lights on, and set up your car’s warning triangles to alert other road users.
However small the incident may be, you need to ensure you swap full details with all relevant parties. If anyone is injured, if the road is blocked, or if someone will not provide insurance details, you must report this to the police.
Always make sure you record as much information as possible about the accident (for example, you could take photos).
