New Electric Spray Booth Technology Helps Cut Energy Use at W R Davies MDR Centre

The automotive repair industry is changing fast.

Rising energy costs, increasing environmental pressures, and the demand for exceptional repair standards mean bodyshops are having to think differently about the future.

That’s why W R Davies Motors partnered with Rowley Spray Booths to bring the latest AEROLEC electric spray booth technology to the MDR Minor Damage Repair Centre at W R Davies Toyota Shrewsbury.

This project was about more than installing new equipment. It was about investing in a smarter, more sustainable future for automotive repair, reducing energy consumption and lowering environmental impact, while continuing to deliver the high-quality finishes customers expect from the W R Davies team.

The new electric spray booth represents a significant step forward for the MDR Centre, combining efficiency, innovation, and performance in a way that reflects where the industry is heading.

It’s been fantastic to work together with the Rowley Spray Booths team throughout the project, sharing a vision for greener, more efficient bodyshop solutions.

We also wanted to document the journey properly, which is why collaborating on this video case study was so important. A huge thank you to Gavin Kerr at GK Videography Ltd for capturing the project and helping bring the story to life.

Partnerships like this show what’s possible when businesses work together to embrace innovation and push the industry forward.

The move towards a more sustainable future is already happening and we’re proud to be part of it.
