Hybrids can use electric power to pull away and even cruise at speeds up to 30mph. Because most Toyota Hybrids are self-charging, when the battery runs low, excess power from the engine charges it back up again.
Hybrids feature pioneering, self-charging battery technology. They are known as ‘Hybrid-electric’ vehicles because they have two energy sources. This means that unlike pure electric vehicles and Plug-in Hybrids, you don’t have to plug them in to recharge their batteries.
