Service Advisor/ Driver - Nissan Telford

A rare and fantastic opportunity has arisen at our successful, modern and ever expanding dealership. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Service Advisor/ Driver to join the team. This role encompasses elements of both a Service Advisor and a Service Driver role.

The successful applicant will be welcomed to join a strong team and a great dealer group. Reports directly to the Service Manager, and works with colleagues and other teams across the dealership to provide a seamless high standard of customer service.

This is a customer focused position, and the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers visiting our dealership. This position requires an individual who can offer a very warm professional welcome via both the telephone and face-to-face we are therefore looking for someone that is friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing and cheerful. The successful candidate will provide excellent communication with customers to understand their needs.

This is a customer focused position providing support and administrative service between the customer and Service Centre, as well as some driving duties. As the face of W R Davies Nissan, it is important to the centre to plan and coordinate Service activity to maximise workshop/bodyshop utilisation and profitability, as well as ensuring Complete Customer Satisfaction.

  • Collection and delivery vehicles from customers’ homes or work premises, ensuring collection and/or completion of all paperwork required.
  • Examine customer vehicles for damage and tyre safety prior to collecting vehicle ensuring that damage reports are completed and pointed out to customers wherever possible.
  • To maintain accurate and true records at all times when releasing or receiving vehicles.
  • Occasional valet of customer vehicles
  • To help maintain a clean and safe working environment within the service workshops.
  • Ensures relevant selling opportunities are maximised
  • Agrees the details of the work that is to be carried out
  • Coordinates activities to deliver agreed work (on time/cost)
  • Updates the customer on progress and ensures complete Customer Satisfaction on completion

Have you got what it takes?

  • Customer Service experience within a franchised dealership or bodyshop
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to liaise confidently with customers
  • Knowledge of workshop loading systems would be beneficial but not essential
  • IT Literate with Pinnacle (preferably) and knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • A solution focused individual with a natural problem solving aptitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • From an automotive trade background although not essential
