For 25 years, the Nissan X-Trail has earned a reputation for rugged capability, dependable practicality and family-friendly versatility. Now, with its latest update, the new 2026 X-Trail brings bold new styling, upgraded technology and enhanced comfort, making it an even stronger choice for modern family life.
When the new X-Trail arrives in the UK, customers will be able to see it in person and book a test drive at W R Davies Nissan in Stafford, Telford and Rhyl.
The updated X-Trail introduces a more assertive and refined SUV design while staying true to its adventurous character.
A wider and cleaner Nissan V-Motion grille gives the front end a stronger road presence, while redesigned bumpers, refreshed body styling and new glossy black exterior accents create a more premium and confident appearance.
At the rear, new full-LED taillights sharpen the X-Trail’s signature look, while striking new colour choices including Sukomo Blue and Coastal Dune add even more visual appeal.
Inside, the new X-Trail has been enhanced with higher quality materials and improved cabin comfort.
Drivers and passengers can enjoy heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen across the range. Flexible family practicality remains a key strength, with a sliding 40/20/40 second-row seat layout offering adaptable passenger and luggage space.
Higher grades also benefit from premium features such as a BOSE 10-speaker sound system and heated windscreen.
The 2026 X-Trail introduces Google built-in to NissanConnect for the first time, allowing seamless access to Google Assistant, navigation, apps and over-the-air software updates.
Drivers can use natural voice commands to control navigation, heating functions, calls and messages while keeping their attention on the road.
The upgraded 3D Around View Monitor also offers enhanced parking confidence with multiple camera angles, a bird’s-eye view, Invisible Hood View and T-Junction View for better visibility in challenging spaces.
Nissan has also refined ProPILOT Assist technology, helping deliver smoother acceleration and braking, more stable lane positioning and improved traffic sign recognition.
These upgrades make motorway journeys, town driving and everyday commutes even more relaxed and reassuring.
The new X-Trail continues with Nissan’s advanced e-POWER technology, delivering the feel of electric driving without the need to plug in.
With instant response, smooth acceleration and quiet refinement, e-POWER offers an effortless driving experience. Customers can also choose Nissan’s e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system for even greater confidence, traction and control in changing road conditions.
For customers with an active lifestyle, the updated N-Trek grade returns with a tougher visual identity and added practicality.
Exclusive styling touches include magma red accents, unique badging, 19-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails and a panoramic glass roof. Inside, waterproof CellCloth® upholstery, durable rubber mats and a reversible cargo liner help protect the cabin from muddy boots, wet clothing and outdoor gear.
The updated 2026 Nissan X-Trail is available to order now in Acenta Premium, N-Connecta, N-Trek and Tekna grades, with prices starting from £38,220.
