Two members of the W R Davies Nissan Stafford team recently completed an impressive physical and fundraising challenge to support children living with cancer in Staffordshire.
On 21 June 2025, our Sales Manager Chris Powell and Sales Executive Leigh Burnham climbed Mount Snowdon three times in one day as part of the ‘Three Peaks in One’ challenge - a unique twist on the traditional Three Peaks Challenge. Their goal was to raise money for the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance (CCPA) Stafford, a local charity supporting children diagnosed with cancer.
The pair set off at 11:30 pm and began their first ascent of the mountain at 2:00 am. It was one of the hottest days of the year, but they pushed through and completed the 25-mile trek in 15 hours.
Chris and Leigh were proud to represent the dealership in support of a local cause. Chris explained: “We’ve been part of the Stafford community for 13 years. We’ve met so many people here and wanted to give something back. Taking on this challenge felt like the right way to do it.”
Leigh added: “It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I’m not someone who usually goes hiking, let alone three climbs in one day, but knowing it was for CCPA made it all worthwhile.”
The effort didn’t stop at the summit. The team at W R Davies Nissan Stafford rallied behind the challenge with a Cake & Coffee Day, a raffle fundraiser, and ongoing staff support, proving this was a team effort through and through. The collective effort has helped raise £1,300 rounded, with donations still coming in.
Chris and Leigh’s dedication has been recognised locally, with their story being shared and both receiving nominations in the Your Heroes Awards, under the Charity Champion and Volunteer of the Year categories.
