First Look at the All-New Nissan MICRA at W R Davies Nissan Telford

We recently hosted the Nissan Dealership Tour here at W R Davies Nissan Telford, giving our customers and our team the chance to explore the latest updates arriving in the Nissan range. The event included guided walkarounds, product insights and hands-on time with upcoming models, including the All-New Nissan MICRA. It was a great opportunity for us to learn more about the new features so we can better support our customers when the model arrives.

For many UK drivers, the MICRA has always been known as a dependable and easy to handle small hatchback. The 2026 version keeps that familiar friendliness while introducing a fresh design, a more modern interior and helpful technology that makes everyday driving feel smarter and more comfortable.

What our staff loved about the All-New Nissan MICRA

The exterior design was what caught everyone’s attention first. The new MICRA takes inspiration from the much-loved 2003–2010 model, especially in the bold round LED running lights and the upright front end that gives it a subtle small-SUV feel.

Our Motability Sales Executive Mary Heston shared:

“It feels familiar but new at the same time. The round LED lights and higher stance give it a smart, confident look, especially for city driving.”

Inside, the MICRA impressed with a cabin that feels more premium than previous generations. The dual-screen setup, Google-powered software and seamless smartphone connectivity create a modern, tech-ready space. Sales Executive Mike Allen shared his first reaction:

“The interior feels clean and well thought out. The Google integration is brilliant because it makes navigation and everyday use so simple. I think customers will enjoy signing into their own apps right from the screen.”

He also pointed out the new interior colour ‘ambiences’ and ambient lighting options, which give the cabin a more custom, comfortable feel.

The team also spent time looking at the MICRA’s new battery choices and electric setup. With two options available, a 40kWh battery offering up to 192 miles of range and a 52kWh battery offering up to 253 miles, it left a strong impression. Service Manager Amy Francis commented on the practical side of ownership:

“The rapid charging speeds and the standard heat pump are really useful for real-life driving. That 15–80% charge in around half an hour is going to make the MICRA an easy car to live with.”

She also appreciated features like the V2L capability, which lets drivers power small devices from the vehicle, something many customers will find handy.

Together, our team felt that the All-New Nissan MICRA blends striking design, practical electric performance and a tech-forward interior in a way that keeps the spirit of the MICRA alive while bringing it firmly into the future.

The Nissan Dealership Tour may be coming to an end, but the excitement around the All-New Nissan MICRA is only just beginning. The new model will arrive in Europe towards the end of the year, with the UK launch expected in January 2026.
