Contract Hire Explained

Business Contract Hire (BCH) is a very popular and straightforward way to drive a new vehicle for a long-term, without the financial commitment of purchasing it, and the hassle and financial risk of disposal.

At the end of your agreement, when all outstanding rental payments have been made, you simply hand your vehicle back, choose your next one and start again.

How does it work?

• Available on new cars and light commercial vehicles
• Duration between 24 - 60 months
• We will agree with you your estimated annual mileage and the amount of upfront initial payment you would like to pay; combined with the agreement duration, this will determine the amount of your monthly rentals
• You sign an agreement, and take receipt of the vehicle, with the initial rental payment being taken on direct debit around 10-days later and your subsequent monthly payments thereafter
• Interest is included within your rental and fixed for the term of the agreement, which means you'll know exactly how much you will repay each month
• Towards the end of your agreement you will be reminded that the contract is nearing the end and of the return conditions expected of the vehicle (excess mileage and reconditioning charges may apply)
• You can book a suitable appointment for the inspection and collection of your vehicle via the Leasys website
• We hope to've agreed a replacement renewal vehicle for you, enabling a seamless changeover.

Unlike purchasing a vehicle, which often requires a substantial initial payment, leasing a vehicle typically includes minimal upfront cost. A Leasys Contract Hire agreement allows you to drive a new vehicle without depleting your borrowing capability, and, because you are essentially paying for the vehicle depreciation costs, rather than the cost of the vehicle itself, can result in a significantly lower fixed monthly payment compared to other methods of vehicle finance.

VAT Registered

• Rental payments may be offset against taxable profits
• If your business is VAT registered you can reclaim 100% of the VAT on the rental if the vehicle is used exclusively for business, or 50% of VAT on the finance element of the rentals if the vehicle is also used privately
• 100% of the VAT is reclaimable on the maintenance package element, if you have added one to your contract hire agreement

For added peace of mind, the Service, Maintenance, and Tyres package includes a ‘Fair Wear & Tear’ tyre policy, covering tyre replacements due to normal wear and tear, including punctures. Please note that sidewall damage is not covered and may be subject to a recharge, as it falls under accidental damage or negligence.

Windscreen & Glass Service

Leasys' Windscreen & Glass service is provided by an appointed third party - National Windscreens. With an easy access to reliable repair and replacement services at negotiated prices, you can ensure that your vehicle's windscreen and glass are well-maintained and protected. Competitive rates are offered if you choose to use this referral service.

Short-Term Rental

Leasys have partnered with Enterprise to provide a Short-Term Rental solution. With their Short-Term Rental solution, you can access a wide range of cars and vans, for up to 28 days, and at preferential rates, meeting all your mobility needs.

Fleet Customers

• Pooled Mileage is a service that helps in minimising excess mileage charges, enabling you to use your contracted mileage as a total for your entire fleet.
• Leasys has partnered with Allstar Fuel Cards to enable our business customers to easily manage their fleet fueling and charging needs.
• If you are a Corporate business and manage a fleet of 25 vehicles or more, you will be allocated a dedicated Leasys Key Account Executive to support you with topics such as contract amendments, fleet reports, invoices, pooled mileage, driving abroad, fines management, & vehicle collection.
• For Accident Management & Fleet Safety, Leasys has partnered with FMG, an industry leading provider of end-to-end incident solutions, to both restore your fleet and driver mobility as quickly as possible in the unfortunate event of an accident, and analyse your current fleet risk exposure to improve driver safety.
