Service and Accident Repair Parts Advisor - Llangefni

We are searching for a talented, responsible individual who is ready to take on multiple tasks, working closely with our Aftersales Manager in the heart of the parts team of the dealership. W R Davies Parts Advisors are expected to plan and coordinate parts activity to meet customer needs and maximise sales volumes and margins.   • Organise parts store to facilitate production level and to ensure no damage is incurred to them.
  • Maintain adequate levels of consumable stock.
  • Pay correct price based on agreed levels.
  • Accurately record stock information on computer.
  • Return unused parts on a timely basis.
  • Achieve further discount on parts that are supplied in a damaged condition.
  • Update Company management system to allow accurate update to customer.
  • Check stock rotation to ensure Last usage dates are met

Parts management includes:

  • Purchase replacement parts as per Customer Order.
  • Purchase additional parts as per authority of Controller, Estimator or Manager.
  • Purchase consumables.
  • Purchase small tools to approved level.
  • Verify and record inward movement of stock on computer.
  • Issue parts to internal workshop as per job sheets.
  • Check all parts received against order and for quality.
  • Return none used or damaged parts to supplying company in a timely manner.
  • Check the price is correct and meets discount criteria agreed.
  • Check the Use by of all Parts regularly
  • Accurately price any parts requirements for in progress vehicles

The successful candidate will directly report to the Aftersales Manager. They will also closely work with other Parts Advisors, Service and Accident Repair Workshop staff and Administration staff. They will also be required to build external relationships with suppliers. 

Performance​ will be measured based on the following areas/ actions:

  • Accuracy of parts order.
  • Achieve maximum discount levels.
  • Expedite orders for parts in time.
  • Cost of parts agrees with Order.
  • Estimates all include additional parts.
  • All parts ordered are approved according to company policy.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Level of cost recovery on unused parts.

What you absolutely need is attention to detail, work well under pressure and positive attitude. You must be well presented with a desire and attitude to succeed.

  • Experience in customer service and customer retention
  • Understands the importance of timely and accurate parts to the workshop
  • Completes all relevant administration promptly and accurately
  • Communication skills, working with colleagues and other teams to provide a seamless service to customers
  • The ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Dealership experience preferred but not essential
