Business Development Executive - Ford PartsPlus

We are searching for a talented, responsible individual to join the team as a Business Development Executive for our Ford PartsPlus Centre. This is a field-based role, reporting to the franchise Parts Manager. Ford PartsPlus has been designed to focus on meeting the needs of existing and new trade customers, supplying genuine Ford, Motorcraft and Omnicraft parts. This is an important role within the company’s PartsPlus Centre in North Wales, focused on developing new business relationships and sales, as well as supporting existing customers.


To work to the requirements of W R Davies Ford’s Purpose, Principles and Ambition (PPA)

  • To drive the standard of customer care
  • To build and enhance relationships with existing customers
  • To assist in developing sales to prospective business customers through planned prospecting and marketing programmes
  • To provide a courteous, professional and advisory service to all business customers to maximise our opportunities, while ensuring complete customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Achieve sales targets in line with agreed KPIs
  • Maximise the use of all available resources to ensure the department is run in the most effective
  • Give the diverse customer base a positive impression of themselves and W R Davies
  • Deliver the most positive customer experience possible, in line with W R Davies Ford's PPA
  • Anticipate and identify customer needs, and meet and exceed them by relationship building and taking responsibility for resolving customer issues and delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Work with customers to the highest ethical and professional standards to build long-term profitable relationships
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, and communicate this appropriately with customers
  • Identify and win new business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for reducing waste / inefficiency or improving quality
  • Find opportunities to manage, coach, train and develop colleagues

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Full valid driving licence
  • Evidence of ‘Right to Work in the UK’
  • GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent, plus relevant FCA qualifications
  • Use of Microsoft Office, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Evidence of a track record in high volume sales and responding effectively to commercial tenders
  • Experience of prospecting and winning profitable conquest busines
