Ever since forming a unique global alliance with Renault in 1999, Nissan has posted regular growth and established itself as a dynamic partner in one of the world’s top automotive groups. Nissan Europe employs some 12,000 people across the continent and has plants in Britain and Spain, with a brand-new production facility in Russia due to come on-stream in 2009. Our continuous efforts to reduce CO2 emissions apply to production as much as they do to our vehicles: the Nissan Green Program 2010 aims to cut CO2 emissions in manufacturing by 7 percent compared with 2005. And with two state-of-the-art design centres in the UK, Nissan Europe is leading the development of the next generation of Nissan cars. Its success is symbolized by QASHQAI, the revolutionary urban crossover.
